TikTok Shop fees in 2026
TikTok Shop charges a referral fee on each order: 6% for most US categories and 5% for jewelry and some pre-owned items, according to its published rate table. Payment processing is included, so there's no separate card fee. New sellers can get a reduced 3% rate for their first 30 days if they make a sale soon after onboarding.
Several seller resources report that TikTok raised the standard rate to 8% for most categories in August 2026, while the public table still lists 6%. Check the rate on your own settlements and use the 6% or 8% button to match.
The costs beyond the referral fee
- Creator commission. Affiliate creators usually earn 10–20% of the item price on sales they drive. It's often the biggest cost on TikTok Shop.
- Fulfilment. Most US sellers now ship through TikTok's own logistics. Fulfilled by TikTok starts at about $3.58 per unit for a single-unit order up to 4 lb.
- Returns. When an order is refunded, TikTok returns the referral fee but keeps an admin fee of 20% of it, up to $5 per item.
- Ads. Shop Ads and promoted videos, divided by the sales they bring.

At an 8% referral fee, profit drops to $11.02. The creator commission costs more than twice the referral fee, which is why pricing for TikTok has to include it from the start.
