    Etsy's fees take about 10.6% of this order. On cheaper items the fixed $0.45 matters more: an $8 order pays $1.21 in fees, or 15.1% of the sale.

    How Offsite Ads change your Etsy profit

    If the same $40 order came from an Offsite Ad at 15%, Etsy would charge another $6.00 and net profit would fall to $13.05, a 32.6% margin. Use the Off, 15% and 12% buttons in the calculator to see the effect on your own prices.

    Ways to lower your Etsy fees

    • Raise very low prices or sell in sets. The fixed $0.45 costs the same on a $5 sticker as on a $50 print.
    • Price shipping honestly. Fees apply to shipping too, so padding it doesn't hide profit from Etsy.
    • Match your currencies to avoid the 2.5% conversion fee.

    What percentage does Etsy take?

    For a US seller, Etsy takes 6.5% of the order total as a transaction fee plus 3% + $0.25 for payment processing, and charges $0.20 per listing. That's 9.5% of the sale plus $0.45 in fixed fees, or about 10.6% on a $40 order. Offsite Ads add 12–15% on orders that come from Etsy's ads.

    How much does Etsy take from a $100 sale?

    With no shipping charge, a US seller pays $9.95: a $0.20 listing fee, a $6.50 transaction fee and a $3.25 payment processing fee, before any Offsite Ads fee.

    Does Etsy charge fees on shipping?

    Yes. The 6.5% transaction fee and the payment processing fee both apply to the shipping you charge. Moving shipping into the item price leaves your Etsy fees unchanged.

    Can I opt out of Etsy Offsite Ads?

    Shops that made less than $10,000 in the past 12 months can opt out in their settings. Shops above that level must take part and pay 12%.
